Oh yeah man! I am so KJV that when I preach, I almost have to force myself to use other versions. And even then, I often quote out of KJV by accident.

And to be fair, there is something beautiful about those words, dating us though they may.

I’m so at home with the KJV that I want to change your post title to “Thou shalt memorize thy scripture.” Somehow memorizeth doesn’t seem to be the correct verb form there. Better yet, “Thou shalt remember the words which thy fathers hath taught thee.”
My 15 year-old son quotes the 23rd Psalm the way he learned it when he was about 3 or 4 years old – with all the thou’s and thy’s. (I’m not “KJV only,” but it’s what I use.)
Anyway, it’s great that your kids have learned the Psalm.

I can relate…and I must admit that even though I prefer other versions – any other version – to KJV for study, reading, etc., I love the way the Psalms sound in KJ English.

I didn’t think I would…but then as I began I found my self saying, “He leadeth me…oops.” I guess it is just an expression of our ages huh?
