I want to say thank you. I heard this song when I was in middle school back in Korea. Now I was naturalized as a US citizen living in Florida. When I tried to memorize Lord's prayer in English, Sister Mead's song helped me. Even after several years, I still sing her song while I pray on the bed.

All I Knew was that she was an Aussy sister, and melody. Today, I googled it and found her name and lyric for her version of Lord's prayer. More importantly I also found her song in MP3 from mp3raid.com. I am writing this while I am listening it with her beautiful voice.

Wasn't there another version of the Lord's Prayer that recieved wide air-play sometime during the 1980's, sung by a female artist? Wsh I knew more cause this other version has my memories associated with it.

Thank you for posting this...I absolutely loved this song, and had not been able to find it anywhere. In fact, I have tried for several years to find it, but while I remembered the melody to the chorus perfectly, I did not know the singer's name, and had not been able to locate it! Awesome!

Thank you so much for posting this! Last year I looked all over the web trying to find an audio file of this song because none of the people I currently attend church with had ever heard of it. This song is one of my earliest memories.

Well, you've cleared up one of my life's mysteries. I had a strong memory of my walk to the schoolbus stop (about 1/2 mile) singing the Lord's Prayer. But there was no reason for me to know the Lord's Prayer as I never went to church, being raised in an agnostic family and all. So I never could figure out where I'd learned it or why. But this makes sense ... in 1974 I was in 8th grade or beginning 9th grade which is the timing of the memory. So ... now I know. Thanks to Sister Janet Meade, I knew/know how to pray.
