I’m not so sure this post was a good idea….

First of all; If one of the people from your CLB came across your post how would it make them feel. I’m afraid I would feel like salt had been poured into a wound.

Secondly; I so much wanted every word you wrote to be true. If it could have been true for you it could also have potential for truth for me and many others who have been hurting for years. Reconciliation is a deep desire of a father’s heart and not something to be made into a joke.

I respectively request that you think about it. Thanks!

Having been a co-conspirator with last year’s Medicine Hat triumph, I read everything with a huge block of salt on April 1st.

But it was the “honorarium” that truly gave it away. :)

Well, I confess... it's an April Fool's post. Of course it represents what perhaps should happen, but there's really no holding-of-the-breath to see if it will -- we're going on five years now, after all. And this being the anniversary of announcing our Medicine Hat church planting expedition. So terribly sorry, but... none of it's true. Other than my phone ringing last night, but that had nothing to do with this.

Crap, you get me every year! Even when I start the day telling myself I won’t be fooled.

Near the end, as I was thinking, what irony to get paid to reveal their abuse, it finally dawned on me.

This post falls under the category of cruel & unusual punishment… or BRILLIANT! I fell for it, and sat here thinking, wow – God really broke through to those elders & I wonder if I would be able to accept such an opportunity. Well done.

aside: How is it April already? I think I’m stuck somewhere in January trying to catch up…
