Does your blog bite?
Nice bloggy.
[blog growls, snaps]
I thought you said your blog did not bite.
That is not my blog.
Confused? At least halfway? Me too. I ran my blogs (this one and my non-psedonymous one) through the Typealizer, which looks at your blog and tells you what Meyers-Briggs type you are. Or it is. Turns out my blog and I have less in common that I thought, or that one of us is not who we think we are. If my writing style turns out to be different than my actual MBTI-type, does that mean I’ve been false with my readers? Or is it just that I’m not who one of us thinks I am? When taking something a little closer to a real test, I come out pretty clearly as an INTP, which makes the results of the Typealizer a little suspect if you ask me. My result, both times:
ISTJ – The Duty FulfillersThe responsible and hardworking type. They are especially attuned to the details of life and are careful about getting the facts right. Conservative by nature they are often reluctant to take any risks whatsoever.
The Duty Fulfillers are happy to be let alone and to be able to work int heir own pace. They know what they have to do and how to do it.
Then again, maybe this blog isn’t really being written by me. It’s pseudonymous, after all. Like the Dread Pirate Roberts. Of course, it’s the name that’s the important thing for inspiring the necessary fear; “the real Dread Pirate Roberts has been retired fifteen years and living like a king in Patagonia.” Maybe the real Brother Maynard…. nah. I only wish.
Grrrrr…. -snap!-
okay…so I had a go with this typalizer thingy and I would have to concur with you…though I do consider myself a thinker…the not being “very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people” would suggest that I should look for a change in career (I am in nursing…What’s that…do I hear my patients cringe as I approach the room?…no…well maybe…only if I have a needle in my hand…and I care…really I do….now hold still…jab…haha-i love my job…hehehe)
BTW I am labelled as an INFJ in the M-B
INTP – The Thinkers
The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.
They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.
LOL … just call me a “Mechanic” (ISTP) … wild.
It pegged me as an INTP, as opposed to what I am (an INTJ). This could, I suppose be drawn from posting irregularly (thus the P result), though that makes a big assumption about significance of blog frequency.
Peace,
Jamie
Hmmm, it nailed my type (INFP.) I guess my writing just more accurately reflects who I am. ;)
Ha! I came out ESFP (The Performer) — when in reality I’m more like and INTP or possibly INFP. Maybe there’s an inner extrovert in me that’s being channeled when I blog?
This is very interesting! I test out as a strong ENTP in reality but my blog came in as INTP. Hmmmm, maybe blogging is inherently intraverted? I am very much an extravert in real live so the I caught me off guard.

Fascinating what can be done with software. My blog was pegged as an INTP – The Thinkers. Every M-B I’ve taken has me pigeonholed as an ISTJ (and its a fairly accurate description, although I’m a notorious risk taker — calculated risks that is).
in real life an ISTJ: Blogging personality an ISFP I knew I had multiple personalities. We used to get deliverance ministry for that ;)
