I’m still beating on this thing with a hammer… I’ve got my database issue fixed, but today’s project was migrating the blog onto a new host that I’ve been using in tandem with the old one for the past few months for some odd-and-ends and a couple of new sites like Missio.nalVie.ws, an experimental Digg-like site for all things missional — it now just needs beta testers, a facelift, and some promotion so feel free to jump right in.
Anyway, I’ve got the database working on the new host, but seem to have a php error plaguing me… you may have noticed a 500 server error for most of the afternoon today. This does not apply if you’re reading via RSS, in which case everything will have looked normal to you unless you tried to click through to the site.
In any event, it’s up now, but pre-existing deep links to www.subversive…. won’t be working right now — you’ll go through a redirect and end up on the main page at www1.subversive…. and from there you can navigate to any specific post as usual, or just insert the “1” in your url. This is just a workaround as I didn’t want the site down completely. (For now, the page views are coming from the old host and the database information from the new one.) I hope to have this worked out over the weekend, but in the meantime I can at least continue with your regularly scheduled blog.
What really annoys me is that I’ve been preoccupied with this and other things for three days now and have said nothing substantive… but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing. I’ve been plugging away at an essay that I’m growing fairly pleased with… it’ll be ready for public consumption next week once I’m confident the technical issues are resolved.
