I did it, I joined Facebook. It’s weird, I actually found other grownups there. Who knew?
Last night after I figured out how it works (and I’m still learning!), I joined a couple of groups and then sent out a broadcast message to a bunch of people with whom I’ve exchanged email in the past few months to see if they actually wanted to be my “friend.” They have this widget where you can upload your email address book and then it just tells you who you know that’s on Facebook too. I figured I wouldn’t go through my entire blogroll, but if you read here regularly, go ahead and send me a friend request. Now, some people might think blog-readership isn’t enough of a connection to call someone a friend, but I like everyone who’s interacted here. And hey, if it’s good enough for Scoble…
Now on with the day — today’s the first day of summer vacation for the kids, and I get to find out how well it’s going to go working from home with people about all the time.
Update: okay, everybody, I’m sorry. I’m new to this whole Facebook thing, and I didn’t know… but Facebook is actually down right now. I got an email telling me that Will Samson added me as a friend. I’m stoked to be Will’s friend, his blog rocks… but when I went to confirm I discovered the site was unresponsive and I can’t ping it. I can only conclude that there’s such a flood of people wanting to be my friend that it crashed the whole system. So I’m sorry. I’m sure they’ll get it fixed soon… and I hope I don’t miss out on all those 2 million new friends… i’d be awfully disappointed. :^)

(I know, I know… just kidding. I don’t really have that many friends and blog readers!)
Hi whazz……….up
hehe. My husband could tell you a few things about working from home with everybody around!
LOL … that’s funny on two fronts. Yesterday (the day you posted this) my daughter discovered I have a Facebook site (and yes, I will “friend” you) and my husband works from home in midst of my homeschooling. We’re quite chaotic …
