I’ve been fighting off a cold for more than the past week… sore throat, persistent cough. Last night I slept so poorly that I guess I needed a drink in my sleep. Just before I awoke this morning, I dreamt that I was drinking a Guinness from a small Guinness-branded glass, a little bigger than an espresso cup. As I drank it, the glass automatically refilled itself from the bottom so that it was always full and always had a bit of a head on it, no matter how much I drank, and I had to really gulp it back quickly in order to see the bottom of the glass.
Dreams are funny… but now I know how a heavenly Guinness glass works.
Take care of yourself. After 5 days of sleepless and sickly nights, I finally went to the Doc. I was borderline bronchitis.
Amen … I’m still recuperating from actual bronchitis.
I hope the India Pale Ale glasses in heaven work in the same fashion ;-) But perhaps hot tea with honey and lemon would be best for what’s ailing you here in the temporal plain.
Not quite heavenly- it would have to be Boddingtons or Bass Ale!
WOW, this has all the markings of a true revelation! It involves heaven and …. free beverages! I tell you, it removed my fear of death like THAT!
This gives a whole new dimension to the feast of the Lamb! OOOOH Glory!
As a recovering alcoholic (and pastor) I’ve had variations of the same dream! I however have the annoying reality of “one is to many and a thousand is never enought.” Thanks Brother Maynard for the conversation and “Third Place”. Get well soon and enjoy a Guiness on behalf of one that can’t.
