Yup, it’s my second blogiversary today.
Cindy Bryan recently celebrated her second blogiversary as well, and since our blogs both began in the same month, she did me the exceptional courtesy of baking me a celebratory cookie.

Congratulations. I’ve really appreciated your insights,
your blog is one of the few “must read” every day! :) I
welcome your insights and balanced approach to the topics
you choose to comment on.
Peace,
Norm
Congrats Brother Maynard. I echo what Norm said. Thanks for being a voice of balance and encouagement. Here’s to two great years, and many, many more.
PS Was the cookie good when eaten by proxy?
Lily
Does this mean the blog now enters the “terrible twos”… I certainly hope so.
Congrats on two fine years.
I have a strong inclination to mail you a piece of fruit cake!
happy anniversary brother maynard! I’m glad you’re here. And, again, I’m glad you liked the cookie. There’s still about half of it in the freezer– if you’d like me to mail that to you to go with Len’s fruitcake.
I’d mail you a pint o’ Guinness, but…
Happy blogiversary anyway!
Happy Anniversary, Bro.M. :-)
It’s such a beautiful cookie, how can you eat it? I’m lifting an Imperial Stout in your direction …
Congratulations! I appreciate your blog very much, and enjoy reading it. This brings new meaning to the idea of “cookies” in my web browser! ;)
Well done on clocking up two years of posts.
I look forward to the next two years.
bro, you have conveniently blocked out the rest of the story. Remember.. we knew that Rob had signed an official statement for YWAM swearing off all God’s goodness in the grape, and for that reason we left the two bottles at home the night we met with you. However, should you pass this way again, we have 30 bottles of Gewurztraminer arriving approximately Dec 18 :) No guarantee that these will linger til summer…
Right you are Len, sorry to have besmirched your name in any way! Donning my flame-retardant suit, it’s all Rob’s fault. I’m definitely going to have to pass by that way again… we really did enjoy our time in the region and the visit with you, the McAlpines, and the squatters who occupied their house.
I trust you will ALSO recall that once our “student” status was complete, all YWAM people living with us at the time enjoyed a GREAT DEAL of celebratory toasts with a GREAT DEAL of the appropriate beverages. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and Guinness never tasted so good. Besides, considering the leadership dynamics we were forced to endure (said leaders having since been removed), the celebration was doubly sweet.
And dude, iirc, it was ME who paid for the beer when I was in Winnipeg a few months ago. You don’t need a flame-retardant suit, but I do accept pints as tokens of genuine repentence.
Congrats, Bro. Maynard…
Congratulations Brother Maynard!
