Len Hjalmarson, lucky dog that he is, has seems to have obtained an early copy of Michael Frost’s Exiles: Living Missionally in a Post-Christian Culture. He has started working through it in review form. Len tends to be pretty thorough in his discussions, but I’m likely to still want to own this book and digest it slowly. These days I can never be 100% sure if I lack the time or the energy to read more (although I do have a whole bunch of unbooked timeslots between midnight and six AM in my calendar) but I typically avoid answering the question for myself by noting that I also lack the funds to make a dent in the list of books I still intend to acquire sometime, somehow. My retirement from gainful employment is still quite a number of years away, but I expect the first four solid years will be spent “catching up on some reading.”
My free advanced copy got swallowed into the bowels that are Canada Post. Oh well… On a good note, Frost mentioned that if we start planning now, he would very much like to add Winnipeg as a location. However, we’ll have to get on it soon.
Peace,
Jamie
