Now, if I can figure what player I should be using to view Quicktime files on Linux, I’ll be up to speed and be able to view these three interview video files, and I’d be in the know as well. At least if I post the links I should be able to find them again later…

Depending on what distro you are using, mplayer (gmplayer, or kmplayer for kde or gnome front ends). Mplayer can pretty much play anything.
