Looks like Brian McLaren has a new book coming out, one which promises The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth that Could Change Everything …at least, judging by the title. My first impression was that in the book he’s going to prove that The Da Vinci Code is fact rather than literary fancy, but lest you take on the same impression, it’d be a good idea to take in John Frye’s review of the book. It gets a kind of mixed review, with a good overview of what it’s about. Frye sums up, “in comparison to his previous books, this one was tame. His others were tigers.” (HT: Scot McKnight)
