ahh, duh. i should have read Fred’s link first ;-) I thought that posters there were saying that these 4 guys came up with the word “missional”. How silly of me!
I tried to paste my comment in from the other blog here, but it didn’t seem to comply. I posted the answer to the source of this word at the original blog. The big question now is, is the word helpful for us anymore?

Yea, I’d heard it was Newbigin. Tim Keller points to him as did…uh…someone else I can’t remember. Was it Tomlinson maybe?
