The article is a lengthy report (it was the cover story in the dead-tree version) and should stimulate some thought. I’m reminded of a comment I read online recently (sorry I forget where, Len maybe?), someone said their daughter asked them why their non-christian friends were more spiritual than their christian friends. Now that’s telling.
Yes, it was Len’s daughter who asked me that question.

Yeh, we’ve been having some great conversations lately. Now she has two musician friends who are Jewish, another territory of conversation opening up. I’m asking her to read “A Generous Orthodoxy” .. and if I feel really brave I’ll ask her to read the opening chapter in “No Other Gods Before Me….”
