“Life is too short to drink bad wine.”
Gewurztraminer is one of, probably my most favorite white wine. Normally I prefer red, but the wife has a preference for white, and a nice gewurztraminer makes a great compromise. Tonight it’s a glass from Sumac Ridge, an estate winery in Canada’s Okanogan Wine Country.
Mmmmmm. Nice to relax on a Friday evening.
Feet up…
Zzzzzzz….
Huh? Oh… uh, maybe I’ll have something more intelligent tomorrow. Maybe.
Oh I am glad to see that you have reduced the size of your sidebar again. I was having trouble reading your posts. Must be the wine!
Having once lived in the Okanagan Valley, I feel obligated to correct your use of spelling for the American region (Okanogan). I was honour bound, you understand…
Ah Rob, good to hear from you. Peregrinations in the Okanagan is down to the $300ish I need for flights… if that be solved, I’m there. I guess I have a few weeks to solve it but no longer, else the flights will probably cost more. You’ll have to play airport taxi too, btw, if it works out somehow. Should that occur, I’m game to come a day early and/or stay a day late if there would be an opportunity to meet and discuss the Emergent.ca thing with Len and the Victoria boys. Any chance of setting that up?
Are the Victoria boys coming? I hadn’t heard that, but of course I’m not in the loop on what’s happening at the Forum; I’m just hoping to get the time off work so I can join in. Hey, maybe you and I could be the hecklers like the old Muppet Show (although we’re not as old as those dudes).
The airport if a whole 12 minutes from my house. I can cover the taxi, no worries!
Newsflash, Rob: in the eyes of some of the emerging church crowd, we are as old as Statler & Waldorf! For the record, I side with you on our ages though.
I dunno if the Victoria boys are coming or not… I asked Len in a blog comment here or at his site (I forget which) but maybe he didn’t see it. Blast him an email on it, will ya? It would be a heck of a missed opportunity if they don’t show, given their initial foray into the conversation didn’t come across that well. The upshot of all that at the time was that we should all make an attempt to connect and discuss… maybe you and Len, me, Jordon, …and is anyone coming from ‘down east’? Darryl Dash or Pernell Goodyear? It would be most fitting if we could build upon a face-to-face national conversation. I think we could figure out within an hour or so what role, if any, there is for Emergent.ca to play in the Canadian conversation.
