Brad Hightower over at 21st Century Reformation just sent me an email flagging a new post he’s put up… Discipleship 101 – A Practical Guide to Entering a Truly Heavenly Quality of Life. Brad says in his email, “This is my monastic method. I have been working on getting this on paper for about a year and well, it came out yesterday. I think this can be helpful to the body.” The paper is a longer blog post than the average (even for Brad!) and I’m on the run at the moment so I haven’t worked through yet but I’ve enough confidence in the quality of Brad’s material to post it now with comment to follow… or feel free to provide the commentary.

Thank you…I look forward to discussion on Discipleship.
God Bless,
thank you for pointing me in the direction of this discussion on Discipleship.
it was challenging, convicting, and very helpful.
i will probably go visit it several times over the next few days and pray through it.
i am one who has found being holy and miserable at the same time futile.
i am one who has been full of anger for a long time…
as the article goes, i must die to self protecting impulses and turn my life and will
over to the care of God.
Mary ellen,
Doing the various prayer excercises and inventories and understanding our powerlessness all play into the process. The path brings us into joy and the result is lo and behold we got a new perspecitve and orientation toward life. stay in touch and I will assist you in the journey. It is actually easier than you think if you are willing to have your mind changed.
God Bless,
