Worst Church Sign

I’m always pleasantly amused when I drive by one particular sign at a church in Neepawa, Manitoba. A marker for years, it says, “Drive carefully — you might hit an Anglican.”

There is, however, a dark side to church sign theology… some have been posting examples on blogs for a while, but when I saw this one I was utterly speechless. Were I onsite, I may just deface it and run roughshod over “Pastor Joe Shaw.” I’m appalled — and I want to say publicly, “I am not his kind of Christian.”

Oh, and Michele if you’re still reading — the phone number is on the sign, give the guy a call and let him have it. But know that we’re not his kind of Christian — if he even calls his version Christianity.
