An unprescidented disaster calls for unprescidented generosity…. from all corners. Credit card firms are refunding or waiving transaction fees on donations, Revenue Canada is extending the deadline for donations to be considered for the 2004 tax year, and the Government of Canada is matching the donations of Canadian citizens, dollar-for-dollar.

All of that should seriously curtail any remaining excuses… Canadians will want to get donations in by January 11th to qualify for a 2004 tax credit and have the donation amount matched by the Canadian government.
