A thought came to me earlier in the week about being salt and light, while considering how you would “reach out” from a house church as an individual trying to be real to your neighbours. Kind of a one-liner that just struck me as having a ring of profound simplicity, my thought for the day: Live your faith. Share your life.

Hey Brother,
Thanks for this powerful proverb. It addresses a whole bunch of tensions and dichotomies that I’ve been working through for so long. It’s help guide me in living among my neighbors and also in how to relate to my non-Christian family members (of which I have many). I can’t think of a simpler or more powerful way to express a missional Jesus-like lifestyle.
I also wanted to let you know that this proverb is gonna be the “theme” that’s gonna drive everything we do for the next year at our church. When I think of what I hope and dream for everyone in our church, this proverb captures all of it. Just wanted to drop in a line to let you know that.
