Andrew Hamilton advocates the burning of bridges, and you know, he’s right. He discusses how several of the church groups in his area are “building bridges” to their communities, which begs the question… why the gulf? It reminded me of a recent insight I summarized as Live your faith. Share your life.

Sharing one’s faith seems not only nebulous, but a bit of a “heavy” to me. I think we’re meant to live our faith, and share our lives. It’s just more real that way – and as Andrew Hamilton points out, sometimes you can get a free beer for it. So I agree with his thesis, burn your bridges. Then go out and do away with the gulf. It’s kind of a “treat the cause and not the symptom” sort of thing. Do head over and read Andrew’s article, some good thought there.
